“Hex Hall”
Hex Hall is a best-selling trilogy of young-adult
paranormal romance
novels by American
author Rachel Hawkins. The genre of this novel, that has 187 pages, is young
adult, dark fantasy, paranormal romance, and comedy. This novel, that is
fantasy novel, was published in United States by Hyperion Books on March 2, 2010.
Hex
Hall is a novel that tells about Sophie Mercer. Three years ago, Sophie Mercer
discovered that she was a witch. It is gotten her into a few scrapes. Her
non-gifted mother has been as supportive as possible, consulting Sophie’s
estranged father–an elusive European warlock–only when necessary. When Sophie
attracts too much human attention for a prom-night spell gone horribly wrong,
it’s her dad who decides her punishment: exile to Hex Hall, an isolated reform
school for wayward Prodigium, a.k.a. witches, faeries, and shapeshifters.
By the end of her
first day among fellow freak-teens, Sophie has quite a scorecard: three powerful
enemies who look like supermodels, a futile crush on a gorgeous warlock, a
creepy tagalong ghost, and a new roommate who happens to be the most hated
person and only vampire student on campus. Worse, Sophie soon learns that a
mysterious predator has been attacking students, and her only friend is the
number-one suspect.
As a series of blood-curdling
mysteries starts to converge, Sophie prepares for the biggest threat of all: an
ancient secret society determined to destroy all Prodigium, especially her.
Actually, I do not really like reading a novel. I prefer to
read a comic than a novel. However, when I read this novel, I think this novel
is a good novel even though there are many difficult words that I found there.
I like the way the author develop the story. From this novel, I can imagine
that I involved in the story when I was reading it. Hecate is an amazing place
to be and I love the detail in which the author brings it to life and the way
it tickled my imagination trying to envision myself in this enchanting academy.
The story was really interesting and moved at an easy pace. In short, Hex hall
is a good novel to read, especially for the teenagers who like fantasy story.
