Should Teenager Students Get a Private Vehicle?

It has been a trend in a big city that students use their own vehicle to go to their school. In Jakarta, 60% of students use their own vehicle (20% drive cars and 40% ride motorcycles). This phenomenon increases every year. As a result, accidents that are caused by teenagers also increase. Lately, there was an accident that is caused by a 13-year-old teenager which made 7 people die. This accident inspires the government to set the local regulation in Jakarta and other cities in Indonesia to forbid high school students to use a vehicle. Based on polling that was done by a TV local station, there are still pro and contra about this policy. Some parents are in the same line with the government while others feel hesitate about it. In this essay, there are advantages and disadvantages of getting a private vehicle of teenager students that is supported by parents’ reasons.

"my narrative text"

Love in Two Different Backgrounds
Written by Putri Melco

There was a rich and royal family that had a daughter named Clara. At that time, Clara was studying in a university, her major was linguistics. In the last semester of her study, she must conduct a research. Then she decided to make a research about ‘language lost’. She came to a village, Tabanan, where there was a language that had not used by many residents there.
Clara’s parents were formal people. They never told each other, like a family did, because of their business. They were too busy with their job. On Tuesday morning when Clara wanted to get their permission to come to a village, they did not agree because they just wanted their daughter stayed in a city. They were very arrogant, and they did not want to have such kind of relationship with poor families.
“Mom, dad, trust me! I can keep myself there.” said Clara.
“No Clara, No!! You must not go to a village. There are so much dangerous and bad things that you will find there, like criminals, poor people, and dirty place. Oh, no. I can’t imagine that.” answered her mother.
“Mom, I come there to conduct my research, it is for my future. Please mom,, please.” Clara begged.
